Quarterly Newsletter – 3rd Qtr 2024
by Rossonna Juarez on September 04
Hi Property Owners. The Board of Directors (BOD) decided it would be worthwhile to periodically update all property owners regarding what is happening in the community between the annual meetings. Going forward, this will be quarterly. This edition will cover since our last annual meeting held in February 2024. We hope you will find this newsletter useful.
Top Stories
New Homes – The Design Review Board (DRB) has been busy this year approving plans for several new homes. Several homes are spec homes being constructed by local builders. One of the homes, on Lot 81, built by Josseyln Homes, is completed and SOLD!!! We have new neighbors to welcome to Satilla River Landing! We are excited to see this interest in our beautiful community. Property owners, if in the area, are encouraged to stop by to see the changes that are occurring in the community.
Gate Fobs – The BOD authorized the purchase of gate fobs to operate the entrance gates. This was done via suggestions of current homeowners and will allow owners the ability to enter the property without having to manually enter a gate code, potentially exposing them to inclement weather. The fobs are being ordered from Brewer Technology, current maintainer of the gate. Owners may purchase these for a cost of $50 and should contact Jimmy Campbell.
Property owners may also purchase their own fobs independently; however, please contact Jimmy first to ensure that you purchase the correct type and use the proper Facility Code (FC).
Satilla River Landing Website– The SRL website has been updated to include new drone fly-over videos and photos of the community as well as to be more accessible for mobile platforms. The website will provide more timely information to prospective home buyers and current property owners. The newsletters will be posted on the website.
Pool Closure: The pool closed October 31,2024. It will reopen next year. We hope you were able to avail yourself of this wonderful amenity set in a tranquil creekside setting before it closed for the year,
Reminders – Considering the renewed interest in our community, the BOD would like to remind all property owners that we have a secure storage area designated for RVs. boats, trailers, etc. We encourage you to avail yourself of that amenity and keep the community beautiful so others will want to move into the community. A gentle reminder, the kayak storage area is not designated for vehicle or boat/trailer storage. Please use the designated storage area. Anyone needing access to the RV/storage area needs to contact Jimmy Campbell.
There is also a form that is required to be completed.
Upcoming Information – Look for details regarding the next Annual Meeting.
